Welcome to the website for the Language Learning & Technology Research and Design Group's current design-based research project:: Funwritr. The project seeks to leverage recent developments in unbundled APIs (Flickr, GoogleSpell...) and Artificial Intelligence engines (WordNet, MontyLingua) to create a multimodal, open-ended mashup environment supportive of language play for ESL and 'regular' students in the middle elementary school grades.
